Why I support Traditional Marriage

For 11 Sociological reasons.

For 6 Biblical reasons.

  1. We are created by God as man and woman.
  2. God made marriage between a man and woman as the core structure of society.
  3. Jesus affirmed marriage as between a man a woman.
  4. God created sex to be enjoyed between a man and a woman within marriage
  5. All other sexual acts outside of this marriage covenant “fall short” of God’s standards and are call “sin”
  6. God’s love is shown to those who sin “we all fall short” through the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ. “All who call upon the Lord will be saved.”

For 5 Cultural and Traditional reasons

  1. Marriage (between a man and woman) has been the bedrock upon which society is built
  2. Changing the definition of marriage affects the status of every married couple.
  3. Changing the definition of marriage invalidates our history and culture including that of our parents, grand parents, great grand parents who were married as man and woman.
  4. A range of common words associated with marriage between a man and a woman will be forever changed (husband, wife).
